Unlock Pro-Level AI Videos with JSON Prompts (Even If You're a Beginner)

Okay, let’s be real. You’ve seen them. Those absolutely insane AI videos that look like they were directed by a Hollywood pro. The ones with mind-bending shots and incredible detail.

Chances are, they were made using something called a JSON prompt.

And if you’re anything like me when I first heard that, your first thought was probably… “a what now?” It sounds complicated, technical, and honestly, a little intimidating.

But what if I told you that you could get that same level of “movie director” control over your AI videos… without actually having to learn the confusing parts of JSON?

Well, you’re in the right place. Because today, I’m giving you the keys to the kingdom. Not just one, but a whole set of prompt generators that do all the heavy lifting for you.

First Off, What Even Is JSON?

Before we get to the goods, let’s quickly demystify this thing. JSON stands for JavaScript Object Notation.

Don’t let the name scare you. It’s just a way of organizing information so that a computer can understand it perfectly.

Gemini actually gave a great explanation for this. Think of it like a set of Lego boxes.

Your whole prompt is one giant Lego box, which starts with an opening curly brace { and ends with a closing one }.

But inside that giant box, you don’t want to just throw all your pieces in together, right? It would be a total mess. You’re organized. So, you use smaller, labeled boxes to keep special pieces together. Those are also marked with { and }.

This is why you see braces inside of braces. It’s just organization.

In a JSON prompt, you’re basically just labeling everything for the AI. Instead of saying:

"Make a video of a girl walking down the street."

You break it down like a director planning a scene:

  • Shot: "medium tracking shot"
  • Subject: "young woman, black hair, red shirt"
  • Scene: "quiet street at dusk"
  • Audio: "soft, ambient city sounds"

See the difference? You’re not just giving a suggestion; you’re giving clear, structured instructions. This is how you get that unprecedented control and those amazing, consistent results.

The “Easy Button”: My Prompt Generators

Now, while it’s helpful to know the basics, I promised you wouldn’t have to become a JSON expert. And I meant it.

I’ve built four different prompt generators that will convert your simple ideas into perfectly formatted JSON prompts. They’re all available for free via the link in the video description, but let’s walk through a couple of them.

Generator #1: The Converter

This first one is great for when you already have a prompt idea. I took a simple music video style prompt: "I change lanes with candy canes."

I pasted it in, and boom.

Instantly, it spit out a perfectly structured JSON prompt. But it didn’t stop there. It then gave me a second, enhanced version with “realism boosted meta tokens” to make it even more dynamic. All I had to do was copy and paste it into an AI video tool like Leonardo AI.

Generator #2 & #3: The Creative Partners

These next ones are even more powerful. They’re designed to be more of a creative partner.

You start by describing your subject, and then it asks you a few follow-up questions to flesh out the scene. But here’s the cool part… if you’re not sure what you want, you can just type "surprise me, you choose."

The AI will then make all the creative decisions for you and generate a stunning, detailed prompt. I did this and then asked for a “Miami Neon” version, and the results were just… wow. Phenomenal.

My Favorite: The Assertive Generator

Last but not least, my personal favorite. This one is for when you just want to get straight to the point.

There are no questions. You just give it your idea.

I typed in: "A penguin surfing on a wave. He falls off and begins to swim."

Instantly, it gave me a full, complex, nested JSON prompt ready to go. No back and forth. It just works. It even gave me suggestions for different styles, like a comedy short or a nature documentary.

The Secret Sauce: Cinematography

A lot of what makes these videos pop are the specific camera movements and lens choices. That’s a big part of what these generators do—they add in professional cinematography terms.

If you want to get even more hands-on, my Prompts Portal Database has a whole section on camera cinematography with all the terms you could ever need to really dial in your shots.

Coming Soon…

And just a little sneak peek for you… I’m working on a fill-in-the-blank template that will make this process even easier. It’ll be a simple form where you fill out the details, and a formula will automatically generate the final JSON prompt for you. Make sure you subscribe so you don’t miss it when it drops!

So there you have it. Four generators to take you from a beginner to a pro-level AI video creator. Go ahead, give them a try, and let me know what you think in the comments.
